Man stabbed during confrontation in Jasper County
A man has been released from a hospital after doctors treated him for stab wounds he received during a controntation in Jasper County, according to Sheriff Mitchel Newman.
Deputies responded to the stabbing at about 9 p.m. Sunday. Sheriff Newman says according to witnesses, a vehicle pulled up in front of a car driven by a man from Silsbee on FM 1131 in Evadale. The man from Silsbee tried to turn around and his car ended up in a ditch. He couldn't get out. Sheriff Newman says several men, as well as a 15 year old girl who was dating one of the men and the driver from Silsbee, got out and approached the passenger side of the vehicle.
Newman says two of the men began stabbing the driver from Silsbee in the chest and abdomen. They drove away and the victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where doctors treated him for stab wounds and release him, according to Sheriff Newman.
