September 15th-Leger's Restaurant Report

#1. Bennigans 325 I-10 N/Grade=85

Bennigans which has been stuck with scores in the 70's since 2004 could be turning things around. Inspector Scott found a much cleaner and safer restaurant. There were a few flies but no trace of rodents.. if you're a fan of Bennigans you'll be happy hear they are improving with an 85.

#2. Golden Corral 4145 College/Grade=89

Another good follow-up this one for Golden Corral. Inspector Duriso suggested they clean house last week and they did... everything appears to be in order and construction is underway on a new Golden Corral near Outback Steakhouse.

#3. Sonic 2970 Dowlen/Grade=84

Now to Sonic on Down. Inspector Duriso found employees without hair restraints.. food was at the wrong temperature.. and employees were using bare hands to pick up cherries and lemons.

Sonic on Dowlen gets an 84.

#4. Waffle House 5875 Hwy 105/Grade=87

Finally let's head to Waffle House on Highway 105. Inspector Scott found eggs at room temperature which is unsafe, the grits had to be thrown out for the same reason, there were several flies.. and a gnat stuck to a sliced lemon. Waffle House on 105 gets an 87.
