Veterans memorial wall visits Kountze
KOUNTZE- A piece of history arrived in Southeast Texas Monday. School administrators say it's a way to honor veterans and teach students about the history of our country. It used to be if you wanted to visit the Veterans Memorial Wall you'd have to travel all to Washington, D.C.
Now traveling walls come to local communities and the one visiting Kountze is unique. It honors, respects and remembers all veterans, including the ones serving today. Friday morning the traveling memorial arrived in Southeast Texas. The patriot guard escorted the indoor memorial wall through Hardin County to where it'll be on display at Kountze Middle School.
You can visit the traveling wall inside the gymnasium at Kountze Middle School. It'll be available to the public all this week from 8 am - 8 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am - 2 pm Saturday.
