Beaumont Police suspect link in dog burnings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Beaumont Police are investigating what they call the deliberate burning of three dogs found abandoned this week in different sections of the city, and officers believe the same people are responsible.
Ofc. Randy Stevens with the Beaumont Police Department says two of the dogs were so badly burned and injured they had to be euthanized. According to investigators, one dog was found on August 25 and two were discovered on August 26. They were found abandoned at the following 3 locations: 2200 Victoria Street near Emma; 900 Catalpa Street near Grand; and 5600 Garner Road near Comstock.
Ofc. Stevens says police believe the injuries indicate the same group of people is responsible for deliberately burning the dogs.
If anyone has information about the dog burnings they're asked to call Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS or log onto www.BeaumontCrimeStoppers.com or text "BMT" plus their message to CRIMES (274637). Callers don't have to provide their names and they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
