Nov. 27-Leger's Restaurant Report Card
This week's Restaurant Report Card comes to us from the Hardin County Health Department.
Inspector Kellum checked out restaurants across Hardin county and we've got the highs and lows in this edition of the Restaurant Report Card.
MCDONALD'S 610 BUSINESS HWY 96 SOUTH/SILSBEE/NO SCORE
Inspector Kellum investigated a complaint against McDonald's in Silsbee. She found the ice machine needed to be cleaned. The floors were dirty and needed to be cleaned. The area around the fryers was dirty and the restaurant needed a visit from the exterminator. Inspector did not issue a score because she was investigating a complaint.
JOE'S PIZZA 205 SOUTH WEST AVE. N./SILSBEE/GRADE=85
Next the inspector checked out Joe's Pizza on South West Avenue N. She found the microwave was dirty and needed to be cleaned and there were mouse droppings in the storage area.l Joe's Pizza in Silsbee gets an 85.
FESCO'S GOOD EATS HIGHWAY 326 SOUTH/SOUR LAKE/GRADE=100
And now for some good news. Fesco's Good Eats in Sour Lake deserves credit for another perfect score. The Restaurant on Highway 326 South had no violations and received a score of 100.
And here are some other scores to pass along ...Shop N Go in Silsbee received a 94.
The Hardin County Jail scored a 97. As did the Express Mart Number 5 in Kountze.
Now onto our blue ribbon awards.. B&B Food in Sour Lake, Village Creek Rehabilitation in Lumberton, Texaco Fast Lane Number One in Lumberton.
