New Ashley Furniture store to open at Parkdale Mall

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A family that owns Ashley Furniture stores in Jasper and Hemphill is opening another Ashley store at Parkdale Mall.

The store is expected to open in December or January in the 34,000 square foot space once occupied by Linens and Things.

Vic Waller is a member of the family opening the Ashley Furniture HomeStore.

He told KFDM News it's always been a dream of his family to have an Ashley store in a larger city.

He says they've been successful in Jasper and Hemphill and are looking forward to opening the furniture store at Parkdale Mall.

Preliminary work is underway. The remodeling will pick up in the next two weeks.

An Ashley store closed about two years ago at Phelan and Dowlen. It was operated by another franchise owner from Beaumont.
