We can expect much colder temperatures Christmas morning and for the next several mornings through Monday. The storm dumped several inches of rain on parts of East Texas, including Kirbyville in Jasper County and Colmesneil in Tyler County. Up to an inch of rain fell on other parts of the KFDM viewing area. There are no reports of wind damage in Southeast Texas, but in East Texas, including Longview, high winds knocked down trees and damaged homes, businesses and vehicles. FedEx Freight supervisor Barry Rhodes said he and other workers ran for cover after he saw a 20- to 30-foot wide funnel cloud in Longview. Our forecast calls for skies to slowly clear Christmas Eve, with highs in the low to mid 60's. When kids test their new bicycles Christmas morning, temperatures will be in the lower 30's.
