Boil Water Notice in Kirbyville

The City of Kirbyville is under a boil water notice.

A water main broke on South Elizabeth and caused a loss of pressure in the system. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required residents to boil water.

It affects people living in the South Elizabeth area, including Pecan, Pine, Fair, Stadium, Sun, Doel Bean, Meadow, Max Lee, McMahon, Freddye, Easy, Shady Lane and Highway 82.

The water department says the boil water notice will remain in effect until further notice.
