Man dies when truck strikes tree and overturns

A one vehicle crash in nearby Sabine County during the weekend claimed the life of a Center man. The collision occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.  

Christopher Raymond, 30, was traveling north on Farm Market Road 1 in the Plainview Community, between Pineland and Bronson, when his 2007 Dodge Ram pickup left the road and struck a tree, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Officers said Raymond was ejected from the truck as it rolled over several times.

Raymond was transported to Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches where he died in the emergency room.

State Trooper Tommy Scales investigated the crash.

Funeral Services for Raymond are pending at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center.
