Man Accused in Wife's Death Arrested in Wyoming
Comments 0 | Recommend 0KFDM News has learned a man from Orange accused of manslaughter in his wife's death has been arrested in Wyoming.
The Orange County Sheriff' Offfice confirms Timothy Michael, 44, was arrested Monday night in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He's charged with manslaughter in the October, 2006 death of Theresa Doucet Michael, 39.
Timothy Michael didn't show up for a court hearing last week and investigators issued a warrant for his arrest.
In October of 2006 Timothy Michael called 911 from his home in Orangefield, claiming his wife of a little more than a year had been accidentally shot.
When first responders arrived at the home they found Theresa dead from a single gunshot wound to the face. Investigators later determined Timothy discharged the gun.
Relatives of Theresa Doucet Michael tell KFDM News law enforcement officers informed them Timothy Michael and a woman had checked into a motel in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The clerk thought they looked suspicious and wrote down the license plate number of Michael's vehicle. Police in Cheyenne learned there was a warrant for Michael's arrest and they took him into custody.
