Search for suspect accused of assaulting wife
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Law enforcement officers have been searching for a man accused of beating up his estranged wife and driving into a home while trying to get away.
Det. Chad Hogan with the Orange County Sheriff's Office tells KFDM News the man is accused of assaulting his wife early Wednesday morning at her home on Linscomb Road in Orangefield.
The couple's daughter called 911 at about 5:40 a.m. to report her father had assaulted her mother.
The 43 year old woman told deputies what happened. She was bleeding heavily and taken by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange where she was treated and released.
Hogan says the 37 year old husband had borrowed someone's Ford F-250 truck and drove to the home where he is accused of assaulting his wife. He left in the same truck and lost control when he rolled over railroad tracks on South Terry Road.
The truck crashed into a home but no one inside was hurt.
The man ran into a wooded area.
A number of law enforcement officers searched for the suspect off Pipeline Road but couldn't find him.
