Police Search For Person Of Interest In Winnie Murder
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Chambers County Sheriff Deputies are attempting to issue an Amber Alert on 16 Year Old Melina Nicole Perry, but Deputies say it may not happen because the circumstances surrounding her disappearance have not met the requirments for an Amber Alert.
Authorities say they aren't sure if Perry left willingly or if she may have been kidnapped by her 19 year old boyfriend Devan Meeks. Meeks is a person of interest in the murder of 43 year old David Davis.
Davis was killed inside his home on Rose in Winnie early Sunday morning. He'd been stabbed to death.
Since his murder no one has seen or heard from Perry or Meeks. Police say Davis had been caring for Perry who was the daughter of a friend. Davis had an ongoing disagreement with Meeks. Before his death Davis told Meeks he did not want him hanging around the house.
Perry is described as a white female, 5'4, and 150 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. Meeks is also a suspect in the theft of a family member's grey 2000 Chevrolet single cab truck with Texas license plate 76Y-WX5.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chambers County Sheriff's Office at (409) 267-8331 or Crimestoppers at (409) 724-TIPS.
