Bank robbery at Wells Fargo
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Wells Fargo bank off I-10 near Olive Garden in Beaumont has been robbed, according to Ofc. Randy Stevens with the Beaumont Police Department.
The bank at 595 I-10 North was robbed at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
A witness told KFDM reporter Jennifer Heathcock a man wearing dress clothes and a button down shirt walked inside the bank waving a gun and demanding money. The witness told Jennifer the man pulled the gun from the area near his sock or shoe. He wasn't wearing a mask.
The man left with money. No one was hurt.
The robber is described as a Hispanic man, about 5'10" and weighing about 190 pounds. He is slightly unshaven with closely cropped dark hair and a receding hairline. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a long sleeve blue shirt with buttons and light colored slacks. He was carrying a large caliber semi-automatic handgun. He brought a canvas-type shopping bag in which the money was placed.
He was last seen running northwest across an apartment complex.
