Registered sex offender from Orange County arrested for abusing young girls

On November 2, 2009, the Orange County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations were advised of a possible aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The suspect was identified as, DOUGLAS RAY BOEHM, W/M, a 49 year old white male from Bridge City. After locating Boehm, detectives found that over a span of four years, Boehm has been continuously sexually assaulting at least three juvenile females under the age of 12.

Boehm, who is a registered sex offender, gave a full written confession to detectives. Boehm also admitted to being in possession of child pornography on his home computer. Boehm's computer has been seized by detectives and child pornography charges are pending a computer forensic examination.

On Friday, November 06, 2009, detectives were able to obtain three warrants for Aggravated Sexual Assault, all 1st Degree Felonies. At approximately 6PM Detectives for the Orange County Sheriff's Office and Officers from the Bridge City Police Department responded to Boehm's residence at 180 Granger in Bridge City. Boehm was placed into custody and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility without incident.

The investigation is being conducted by the Orange County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.
