Suspect posts bond following crash that killed young woman
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A driver charged with Intoxication Manslaughter after colliding with a car and killing a young woman has been released from jail on bond, while relatives of Lindsey Galloway are making funeral arrangements and mourning her death.
Paul Armstrong, 31, of Beaumont, posted $25,000 bond and has been released from the Jefferson County Correctional Center, according to an employee at the jail book-in department who spoke with KFDM News Saturday morning..
Beaumont police say Armstrong crashed into the back of Lindsey Galloway's car early Friday morning on Highway 105 in Beaumont.
Investigators say Galloway, 20, of Beaumont, was killed when Armstrong's 1999 Ford Explorer struck the back of her 2006 Saturn shortly before 3 a.m. Friday in the 82 hundred block of Highway 105 in Beaumont, near Legacy Christian Academy.
Galloway died within minutes of arriving at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Police say Armstrong exhibited signs of intoxication at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital for a blood sample and then to jail.
Lindsey Galloway was a graduate of West Brook High School and worked in Beaumont.
Friends tell us she was a wonderful person who accomplished a lot in her life and they say many people are grieving her death.
Arrangements have been set for Lindsey Galloway's funeral.
Visitation: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
