Beaumont Police and the FBI are investigating a credit union robbery in which a man handed the teller a note and made several threats before running away with money.
Investigators say someone robbed the Beaumont Municipal Credit Union at 2490 Interstate 10 East.
It happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 5'3" to 5'7" with a neatly trimmed beard and moustache, thin build, 130-140 pounds. Witnesses say he appeared to be in his 20's, and was wearing an orange cap with a gray pullover shirt, light-colored, baggy pants, and black and white tennis shoes.
Police say he handed a teller a note demanding money.
He left the credit union running west. Witnesses say he dropped some of the money near the Ridgewood Retirement Center, then returned to pick it up before leaving the scene.

This morning at 8:17 a.m., Officers responded to a call of a Robbery at the Beaumont Municipal Credit Union.
According to the clerk, a white male entered into the Credit Union and presented a note to her which demanded cash. He used several verbal threats to make her give him the cash.
The suspect fled on foot towards the Ridgewood Retirement Center. According to a witness, the suspect dropped some of the cash under the carport in front of the Ridgewood. He picked up the cash and continued on foot towards 11th street.
Officers were already in the area and immediately began checking the Retirement Center and surrounding area's. A K-9 track was started but the dog was unable to complete the track.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'3" to 5'7", neatly trimmed beard and moustache, wearing an orange ball cap with a small dark emblem and dark writing under the emblem, grey pull-over shirt, light colored casual pants, possible khaki's and two toned running shoes.
No one was injured during the Robbery. It is unknown at this time how much cash was taken during the Robbery.
