Buna Loses 7-5 in State Semi-Final Game

Buna lost its semifinal game against Corsicana Mildred 7-5 on Wednesday afternoon at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, TX.

After trailing 4-0, Buna rallied to score five runs over the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and the go ahead run in the bottom of the 6th inning.

 

Mildred answered by scoring three runs in the top of the 7th inning to take the 7-5 lead.

 

The Cougars were a little impatient at the plate in the bottom half yet had a two out rally going when Justin Carrell fouled out to the right side to end the game.

 

Pitcher Brandon Hillin pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 9 hits, 7 runs, 3 Earned Runs (all in the 7th), 4 walks,  and recorded 3 strikeouts.
