Man Barricades Himself in House, Port Arthur SWAT Called to the Scene

A standoff in Port Arthur has ended peacefully.

Officer say they were called to a house near Dequeen and 13th in reference to domestic dispute around 12:00p.m. Sunday. Police say a man shot a gun while sitting in the car with his mother and two young cousins.

The mother and two children were able to escape and called police. The man barricaded himself in the house. The Port Arthur S.W.A.T. was called to the scene. After three hours of negotiations the man came out of the house without incident.

KFDM had a news crew on the scene as the man surrendered to police. Watch the Weekend Report with Nicole Murray for the latest on this story.
