Shortly after nine Tuesday morning, two rail cars derailed near Spur 136 and Twin City Highway.
The derailed cars contain ethylene oxide, which is a colorless, flammable gas. The cars aren't leaking and there is no immediate threat to the public.
Motorists are being asked to avoid traveling on Twin City Highway between Hogaboom and Saba Lane.
In addition, 60th Street between 9th Avenue and Twin City Highway is closed, and Spur 136 is closed between Twin City Highway and Highway 366.
The roads could be closed until early Wednesday morning.
