OHS Seniors Attend Career Fair
A group of about 75 Orangefield High School seniors attended a career fair hosted by Region 5 at the Beaumont Civic Center on November 10. The purpose of this event was to help high school students plan for the future. Many area employers were on hand to talk to students. Colleges presented different career interests and gave out information about their school.
Most of the seniors attending the career fair said it was very informative. Aimee Scales visited the Lamar Institute of Technology booth for nursing, which she found very helpful. “It was a wonderful learning experience,” Scales said.
Angi Biri said, "The career fair was very helpful and a great experience to see many different career choices." She received information from LIT on becoming a dental hygienist.
The students also received tips on how to approach potential employers to ask for information.
