9/4 Restaurant Report Card

The inspectors found only a few restaurants with problems this week.
We've got the highs and lows in this edition of Leger's Restaurant Report Card.
IHOP 3830 COLLEGE/GRADE=81
We begin with I HOP on College. Inspector Lee found the dishwasher not sanitizing, the inspector also found cream gravy at an unsafe temperature. I HOP on College gets an 81.
SPINDLETOP STEAKHOUSE 290 CROCKETT STREET/GRADE=84
Inspector Girard checked out Spindletop Steakhouse on Crockett Street. She found the coolers were not cold enough which is a violation, the ice machine needed cleaning, and an employee was eating in the kitchen which is consider a poor hygenic practice. Spindletop Steakhouse gets an 84.
BAYTOWN SEAFOOD 3825 COLLEGE STREET/GRADE=85
Inspector Lee found shrimp, raw fish and crawfish etouffe at unsafe temperatures, the hand sink was not accessible at the fryer, and foil pans in the dishwashing area were in poor repair. Baytown Seafood gets an 85.
Other scores to report: Dunkin Donuts on 11th Street received an 86; Checker's Restaurant on 11th Street earned a 93; Novrozsky's at All Saints got a 96; Baptist Hospital Beaumont received a 96; Beaumont Country Club earned a 96; and KFC/A&W on College received a 97.
Perfect scores went to Jack in the Box on the Eastex Freeway, Ozen High School, Southerland Head Start, Uncle Henry's Tamales on East Lucas and Austin Middle School.
