A 17 year old Liberty County teen was killed in a early morning crash.

It happened on FM 562 in Chambers County, just three miles east of Anahuac.

D.P.S. Troopers say 17 year old Christopher Pate was killed when the pick-up truck he was riding in rolled over and he was ejected.

Pate was a passenger in the truck driven by 17 year old Davin Moses of Liberty.

Authorities say Moses was trying to pass another truck, and struck it. Moses lost control of the truck and it rolled over.

Pate died at the scene. Moses and the driver of the other truck were both transported to a hospital with broken bones.
