SABINE COUNTY - by Mike Lout/KJAS - A Sabine County couple died on Monday evening and a teenage girl was hurt in a one vehicle auto accident near the small community of Geneva.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the accident occurred shortly after 9:00, when a 2008 Hummer, which was eastbound on Highway 21, for some unknown reason left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, 59 year old Wilber Bradford and his wife, Virginia Crooks Bradford, 60, both of Hemphill, were pronounced dead at the scene by Sabine County precinct one Justice of the Peace Jeff Cox.

A child who was riding in the vehicle, 14 year old Victoria Bradford, was taken to the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, where she was at last word reported to be in stable condition.

A report filed by State Trooper Dustin Ramos said that all occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
