LEESVILLE, La. (AP) - A crash that killed a 19-year-old man early Tuesday wasn't discovered for more than 12 hours because of its remote location.
State police believe the crash happened around 5 a.m. but wasn't found until about 6:30 p.m.
Troopers said Mark Anthony Brister of Merryville was driving north on a parish road when he lost control, leaving the road on the left side. The vehicle then hit an embankment and began overturning.
Investigators said Brister wasn't wearing a safety belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
