Labyrinth Allows for Meditation on National Day of Prayer

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A church in Port Arthur went back in time to create a moving devotional experience on the National Day of Prayer.

Providence Presbyterian Church and St. John Lutheran Church hosted a labyrinth.

It is one of the oldest methods for prayer, spiritual growth and meditation.

Visitors walked and meditated in what organizers hope is a spiritual journey with God.

Organizers say the goal is to give people a chance to pray and relax in God's presence.

It takes an average of between 30 minutes and one hour to complete the labyrinth.
