Body of fifth helicopter crash victim recovered

The body of the fifth victim of a December helicopter crash in the Gulf of Mexico has been recovered.

Justice of the Peace Tom Gillam tells KFDM News a fisherman spotted the body December 20 along the shoreline in Jefferson County.

The victim was from Basile, Louisiana.

The helicopter carrying four passengers and a pilot went down December 11 in the Gulf, south of Sabine Pass.

The passengers were traveling to an unmanned oil rig.
