Teens injured in collision
One teen is home while two others from Vidor High School remain in the hospital after troopers say a man charged with driving drunk hit them last week. It happened April 9 on Highway105 near Pine Forest Baptist Church in Orange County.
Clinton Graves is in a coma at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Jared Parker underwent surgery and is in stable condition and now has a plate in his arm. Justin Chandler is recovering at home with a rod in his leg.
Dr. Joe Burns, the Vidor ISD superintendent, visited the hospital Wednesday and he's asking the community to pray for the teens. Family members and friends have been staying at the hospital night and day since the accident happened.
Troopers say 44 year old William Fears III is responsible for the crash. He's charged with Intoxication Assault.
