Entergy plans outage for repairs to beach area subdivision

Beaumont, Texas -- About 2,100 Entergy Texas, Inc. customers from High Island to Stowell on the Bolivar Peninsula will be without power for an estimated 2 ½ hours Thursday evening, April 28, while crews make some needed repairs.
The power outage is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and continue until 10:30 p.m. when work is expected be complete.
Crews will repair a switch at a substation north of Stowell that provides power to a transmission line and substation that serve the Boliver Peninsula.
The work will result in greater service reliability for customers.
