You may have heard Justin Potter's name in headlines before, but for a very different reason. He's a Lumberton High School graduate and very well known for his athletic, fishing, and serving abilities.
Potter was hurt after a crash near parkway life church in Lumberton in early February.
Things changed after that accident and doctors didn't think he would live due to the gravity of his injuries.
Despite the slim chances Potter says he clung onto life and vowed to return to the type of man he was.
Nurses at Saint Elizabeth coined him the "iron man"after many surgeries left rods in his body.
Potter's young neighbors Potter call him a hero. A man who held morals and values worth looking up to.
After KFDM News received a nomination for Potter's good works in the community and through our partnership with Cowboy Silsbee. KFDM News awarded Potter $500 to use in any way he sees fit.
It's a thank you for all his work he did in the Lumberton community before the devastating accident.
