Firefighters Battling Blaze at Memorial Ninth Grade Campus
Comments 0 | Recommend 011:30 Update: The Port Arthur School District has cancelled classes for Monday and Tuesday for students who attend the Memorial Ninth Grade Campus and Booker T. Washington elementary school after a fire broke out on the campus Sunday night.
School Official say they plan to asses the damage and determine if they'll need to extend the school closure past Monday and Tuesday.
Staff members for both schools are being asked to report to the Stillwell Technical Center on Tuesday morning at regular time.

Port Arthur firefighters are battling a fire at Memorial Ninth Grade Campus at 1023 Lincoln Ave. The facility also houses Booker T. Washington elementary school.
The call came in just before 10:30 Sunday evening. Fire officials report seeing flames and heavy smoke.
It has not been determined how the fire started or if anyone is inside the building.
