Vacant feed store fire ruled arson
Investigators tell KFDM News a fire that destroyed a vacant feed and hardware store in Port Acres has been ruled arson.
The fire was reported at about 4 a.m. Tuesday on Jade Avenue and 59th Street.
There were no utilities connected to the old feed and hardware store building which had been vacant for several years.
Part of the large building was collapsing when firefighters arrived.
No one was hurt.
Port Arthur Fire Marshal Mark Mulliner tells KFDM News authorities determined the fire was deliberately set and investigators are checking out information they received from a witness.
