Vidor firefighters battle house fire
Update 3:00p.m. - Vidor firefighters were on the scene of a fire for several hours Saturday night, that gutted a home.
The fire broke out inside a home at 220 Nash St. near Highway 90.
When fire officials arrived on scene they reported seeing heavy flames and smoke. Vidor firefighters called in Bridge City firefighters for back up. A dispatcher with the Bridge City fire department says at one point the fire was visible from Highway 90.
Fire officials say they took every precaution to ensure the fire wouldn't flare back up.
Fire officials say no one was living inside the home. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
