PA Police search for man who fired shotgun blast, injured 3

PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur Police are searching for a man stepped out of a car and fired a shotgun blast at three people walking near an apartment complex.

Two of the victims received superficial wounds and didn't need medical attention. The third victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Witnesses say the attacker got out of a dark colored passenger car at 15th Street and Dewalt Avenue while they were walking near Carver Terrace Apartments at about 4:50 p.m. Monday. The man fired several rounds from a shotgun. They ran and were struck by pellets from the blast. The victims identified the suspect.

Shortly before 7 p.m. police received a call about a man with a gun at Southwood Crossing, 3901 Highway 73. By the time officers arrived the man had left. Police found the shotgun they believe was used in the shooting inside an apartment.
