A female substitute teacher in Mid-County has pleaded guilty to charges of Felony Indecency in which a teenage girl was the victim.

Jefferson County Assistant District Attorney Pat Knauth tells KFDM News Kerry Smith Foulk, 47, has pleaded guilty to indecency with a high school - age girl.

Knauth says it happened in September of 2006 at Foulk's home.

The plea agreement calls for the educator to receive ten years deferred adjudication.

The terms also call for her to register as a sex offender and no longer teach. She must also pay restitution to the Garth House for counseling the victim received.

Judge Layne Walker must approve the terms of the agreement. Indecency with a child is a 2nd degree felony, and punishment can include a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

Knauth says the student wasn't in any of the classes in which Foulk was the substitute.
