Police ask for help in finding missing man

BEAUMONT - Beaumont Police are asking for help in finding a man reported missing.

Kensley Wade Barrett, 30, was last seen at his residence in the 3100 block of Highland Avenue on July 19.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, beige pants, and black and yellow Nike tennis shoes.

If anyone has information about Barrett, call the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.

Wow.. With very little information, other than a picture and a notice that the guy is missing, everyone immediately starts with the ugly comments. That's really sad. . .I feel sad for people with that much animosity built up in them that they are just looking for any opportunity to unleash it.

BTW. .when it was the white guy with the neo nazi tattoos and a criminal history, people here were praying for his safe return bending over backwards to explain why he had the tattoos (he had to join a gang in prison for survival) and we got to hear about he made a mistake and all that. .

Now. . it's a black guy, and look at what we see

I grew up with Kensley. I lived on the same street. I played little league with him and was in honors and AP classes with Kensley in high school. He was a smart kid and a gifted athlete. He has good parents and a loving family from what I can remember. Everyone has their issues and apparently he has his. I havent seen him since a few years after high school. After he had left Rice. (A school for which he had a scholarship by the way.) It is a sad situation. I hope the best for Kensley and his family and I hope they find him and get him the help he might need.

If he is such a great person and student, then why is the only picture they have of him is a mugshot where he looks doped up beyond belief?

Oh, a guess what? I make fun of white peoples mugshots too. Equal opportunity surveyer of the obvious.
