Officers bust illegal pill trafficking operation
Comments 0 | Recommend 0BEAUMONT -- A Southeast Texas man is out of jail on bond after deputies say they arrested him for running an illegal pill trafficking operation. Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies believe 56 year old Kenneth James Fuselier was sending people to Houston pain management clinics to gather prescriptions and bring back thousands of prescription pills.
Deputies say with the help of informants, they can prove that more than ten people were working with Fuselier.
According to Lieutenant Troy Tucker during this pill bust the traffickers had just returned from Houston and dropped off the bottles at a home in Port Acres. After the pill distribution, officers say many of them fled the scene. That's when officers raided the home and say they found the empty bottles and dozens of hydrocodone tablets.
Deputies say Fuselier faces a state jail felony and up to two years in prison.
