Updated list of early school dismissals

The forecast has prompted a number of school districts to plan for early dismissals and organizations to make changes in events.

• The LC-M district is allowing students to leave one hour earlier than normal. 
• Barbers Hill students in grades 7 through 12 will be released at 11:30 a.m.  Kindergarten through 6th graders will be allowed to go home at 12:30 p.m.
• St. Anne Catholic School is closing at noon.
• St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School will close at noon.
• All Saint's Episcopal School is closing at noon.
• Brookeland ISD is closing at 12:30 p.m.
• Students in the East Chambers ISD will get out at 12:30 p.m.
• The Anahuac ISD is dismissing school at 12:30 p.m.
• Sabine Pass is letting students out at 1 p.m.
• Hardin ISD is ending classes at 1 p.m.
• West Hardin ISD is also dismissing school at 1 p.m. 
• Students attending the Newton ISD will be released at 1 p.m.
• Lumberton Early Childhood, Primary, Intermediate will close at 1:15 p.m.
• Burkeville ISD will dismiss students at 1:30 p.m.
• Kountze ISD is releasing students at 2 p.m.
• Silsbee ISD is releasing students at 2:15 p.m. 
• Lumberton Middle and High School will dismiss students at 2:15 p.m.
• The Mauriceville senior citizens dinner has been rescheduled to Saturday night.
• The Buckner Toy Run has been postponed from Saturday until December 12.
• The TMEA Region 10 MS Band Tryouts scheduled for Dec. 5 at Lumberton HS will take place as scheduled.  The original start time of 8:30 has been pushed back to 11:30 am.
• The City of Beaumont and the YMCA are canceling the 5k Run scheduled for tomorrow downtown due to weather conditions.  This event will be rescheduled at a later date.  All other events are still on for tomorrow. 
The Orange Christmas Parade has been cancelled.
The Kountze Christmas Parade has been posponed from Friday night to December 10 at 7 p.m.
