Internet service provider closes in Jasper
JASPER - by Steve Stewart/KJAS - The recent announcement of the closing of the largest internet and email provider in Jasper has left many customers scrambling to find new service, as well as creating headaches for business owners, and local government officials who will apparently lose their established email addresses.
Jas Net, which has been owned and operated by Kirk Hensarling, will close down on Monday, September 6th after 14 years in business in Jasper. Hensarling said he has lost approximately $300,000.00 due to Hurricane Rita, and in a dispute with a major phone company which has forced him to file for bankruptcy.
Hensarling said he is urging his customers to immediately find a new internet service provider, and he said that he wanted to thank his many customers.
