Man acquitted of murdering former West Brook player
A jury in Brazos County has acquitted a man of murdering a former West Brook High School basketball player.
The jury Wednesday found Ronald Johnson Junior not guilty of murdering Jonathan Bailey in April of 2007.
The jury also acquitted Johnson of aggravated assault in the stabbing of Bailey's twin brother, Janson, who survived.
Investigators say the Baileys were fighting with a man outside the bar when Johnson got involved and tried to help. Johnson is a former Marine.
Jonathan played basketball at West Brook and went on to play at Rice University.
