New Information About Victim in Fatal Dog Attack
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LONGVILLE, Louisiana (AP) - Investigators in Longville say they've had past dealings with a woman killed Sunday by her two pet Pit Bull dogs.
KFDM News reported on the story Monday.
Police reports show this wasn't the first time officers were forced to shoot an aggressive dog at Kelli and Jason Chapman's home.
In October 2006, the Beauregard-DeRidder narcotics task force and the SWAT team raided the Chapman's house.
The search revealed methamphetamine and other drug items. Both were arrested.
During the raid, one of the couple's Pit Bulls bit an officer and attempted to attack a second officer. It was shot and killed.
Kelli Chapman's family says the dogs believed to have killed Kelli on Sunday never showed signs of aggression toward the family.
Jason Chapman's father believes Kelli may have had a seizure and the dogs either were trying to help her or were frightened.
