Lt. Kiker reinstated to Beaumont Police Department
BEAUMONT -- KFDM News has learned a Beaumont police officer indefinitely suspended for his actions during a prostitution sting last year will return to work on July 6.
Lt. David Kiker and the City of Beaumont reached an agreement Wednesday afternoon that will put Kiker back to work with full benefits and back pay.
CLEAT Attorney Mitch Adams says the punishment for Kiker would be a 90 day suspension, which he already served while indefinitely suspended.
Kiker admitted to taking part in sex acts during an undercover operation in 2008 at two spas in Beaumont's west end.
Police arrested two women at the VIP Spa on Calder and the Sun Spa on Old Dowlen.
The spas have since closed.
A second officer, Keith Breiner, was also suspended but returned to work in May.
