Missing man found
Comments 0Volunteer firefighter dead
The search for a missing man has come to an end.
Investigators with the Hardin County Sheriff's Office found 21 year old Nathan Strother dead. Deputies started a search for Strother this morning and it ended at about 11:30 am. Deputies found Strother's body off Highway 92 at Biscamp in Hardin County.
It is early in the investigation, but deputies say it looks like it was a self inflicted gunshot wound that killed Strother.
Strother had been last seen Thursday at his cousin's house in Silsbee.
He was a Silsbee volunteer fireman and always took his gear with him whenever he went out but left his gear at his cousin's house.
He was not reachable by his cell phone or fireman's pager. Relatives and co-workers say that was highly unusual for him.
