NEWS RELEASE FROM ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
RE:  Search Warrant, Orangefield, TX
June 4, 2009

For Immediate Release:

On June 3, 2009 at approximately 6:41PM, in our ongoing efforts to combat the war on drugs in Orange County, Narcotics Officers with the Orange County Sheriff's Office executed a narcotics search warrant at 6210 Cormier Road in Orangefield.  Upon entry, a misdemeanor amount of marijuana was located.  During the search of the residence, assorted drug paraphernalia, scales, and other contraband was seized. 

The suspect, MARK ALLAN THOMAS, W/M, a 25 year old Orange  resident was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.  He was later released on a $500 bond. 

Sheriff Merritt and the Orange County Sheriff's Office will continue to diligently combat the drug activities that occur in the neighborhoods and other areas of Orange County.
