Orange area DTV signal problem
Television viewers in some parts of Orange County are not able to get the KFDM digital signal via an antenna.

Because the transmission antenna is mounted on the side of our tower near Vidor, the tower itself is blocking a section of the radiation pattern over portions of Orange County, mainly south of Interstate 10.
KFDM is going to move the antenna to the top of the tower, and increase power as part of significant work project on the tower.
The work is tentatively scheduled to begin July 20th and weather permitting will take a couple of weeks to complete.
This should restore the signal to those areas currently blocked out.
This issue does not affect viewers who are on cable or satellite. We apologize for this and will do all we can to expedite the work on the system.
