PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur Police have identified a man who was shot and killed but they haven't whoever is responsible for the murder. Police say Victor Santos Alvarez, 35, was shot at about 4 p.m. Monday at 3631 26th Street. He previously lived in Puebla, Mexico. His wife lives there and was notified of his death. Investigators are looking for two people and an older model, white and grey Chevrolet truck linked to the homicide. Police say Alvarez was shot near the doorway and died inside the home. Officers found several bullet holes in the doorway and casings on the ground. "Apparently our victim came to the door or was at the door and was shot at that point and the subjects got back in the truck and left," said Major Raymond Clark. Major Clark says police found a lot of drugs inside. They say that might have something to do with the motive. If you have information about the shooting death, call Port Arthur Police or EasTex Crime Stoppers at 724-TIPS. Officers won't ask for your name and you could earn a cash reward.
