Sept. 25-Leger's Restaurant Report Card

This week we have restaurant inspection scores from the Jefferson and Hardin County Health Departments.

DAYLIGHT DONUTS 1601 MAGNOLIA PORT NECHES /GRADE=74

We begin with Daylight Donuts on Magnolia in Port Neches. Inspector Jones found eggs and kolaches at unsafe temperatures. The inspector also spotted employees not washing hands properly, some parts of the restaurant were very dirty. Daylight Donuts in Port Neches gets a 74.

DOMINO'S PIZZA 1404 NEDERLAND AVE. NEDERLAND/GRADE=76

Now to Domino's Pizza in Nederland. Inspector Jones found a cooler was not keeping food at the proper temperature, there were no hair restraints, the cooler floor was in poor repair and floors, walls, and air ducts needed cleaning. Domino's Pizza gets a 76.

FAMOUS BUFFET 5080 TWIN CITY HWY. GROVES/GRADE=76

Now to Famous Buffet on Twin City Highway. Inspector Jones found thermometers were broken.. they are needed to ensure safe food temperatures, there was mold in the ice machine, there was food on the floor and the floors in the cooler needed cleaning. Famous Buffet in Groves gets a 76.

JACK IN THE BOX 706 MAGNOLIA PORT NECHES/GRADE=80

And finally we check out Jack in the Box on Magnolia in Port Neches. Inspector Jones found old food in the hand wash sink, there was a lack of sanitizing, some equipment was dirty, the ceiling tiles were dirty and dusty and the floors of the walk in cooler needed cleaning. Jack in the Box in Port Neches gets an 80
