This week's restaurant inspection scores come to us from the Beaumont Health Department.

Beaumont health inspectors found flies, mold, and food at unsafe temperatures at some restaurants in the city.

We've got the highs and lows in this edition of the Restaurant Report Card.

CHURCH'S CHICKEN 615 Washington GRADE=72

We begin with Church's Chicken on Washington. Inspector Wilhelm found Chicken Fried Steak at the wrong temperature, there was poor hygiene including an employee without an hair restraint, the soda fountain machine was dirty, there were flies in the restaurant, and chicken to go boxes were being kept on the floor. Church's Chicken on Washington gets a 72.

CHINA GARDEN RESTAURANT 3871 Stagg/Grade=81

Now to China Garden Restaurant on Stagg Drive. Inspector Scott found eggs, wonton, crab sticks all left out a room temperature, there was mold in the ice machine and on soda nozzles. China Garden Restaurant on Stagg gets an 81.

MONTEREY HOUSE 1090 S. 11th/Grade=85

Finally we check out Monterey House on South 11th. Inspector Scott found the dish washer was not sanitizing to kill germs, and a cooler wasn't cooling well enough. Monterey House on 11th Street gets an 85.

Chief inspector Girard also checked out Chinese Gourmet Express at Parkdale Mall and found a few problems including food at unsafe temperatures, she also found dirty utensils. Chinese Gourmet Express gets an 81.

The inspector also dropped in on McDonalds inside Walmart and found some poor hygiene including no hair restraints and dangling earrings which can spread germs. She also noticed cheese slices with dried out edges.

McDonald's on Dowlen inside Walmart gets an 85.
