This week flies, mold and an employee with an eyebrow ring are on the list of health code violations.
We've got the highs and lows in this edition of Leger's Restaurant Report Card.
TASTE OF CHINA 955 IH 10 SOUTH/GRADE=81
We begin with Taste of China on Interstate Ten. Inspector Scott found an employee without a hair restraint and with an eye brow right that could spread germs, there were several flies in the restaurant, the dish washer was not sanitizing. The problems were corrected. Taste of China gets an 81.
K ASIAN KITCHEN 5540 COLLEGE ST. GRADE=83
Inspector Wilhelm found mold in the ice machine, there was a lack of thermometers to ensure safe food temperatures, employees had personal items on the table where food was being prepared which could lead to the spread of germs. K Asian Kitchen on College gets an 83.
HAPPY DONUTS 6855 EASTEX FREEWAY GRADE=83
and finally we check out Happy Donuts on the Eastex Freeway. Inspector Scott on the job. She found slight rust and mold in the ice machine, kolaches were not being kept hot enough.. And cold breakfast sandwiches were not cold enough. Happy Donuts gets an 83.
