New Beaumont Rotary Club president makes history
Comments 0 | Recommend 0BEAUMONT -- A businessman is making history as the first African American president of the Beaumont Rotary Club.
Kevin Roy was sworn in by Federal Magistrate Keith Giblin during Wednesday's meeting.
Roy succeeds Jim Rich.
Roy is a businessman and he's already focusing on his agenda as the new Rotary Club president.
Roy earned an MBA degree from Lamar University.
He was introduced to the Rotary Club in 1994 by the late Dr. Robert Swerdlow, a Lamar University professor who was dean of the College of Business and director of the MBA program.
