A Southeast Texas rapper who's made a name for himself nationally with his group the Underground Kings returned to port arthur this week to shoot his newest music video.

Bernard "Bun B" Freeman began shooting the video yesterday and concluded this afternoon.

Bun B says his goal was to shed positive light on his hometown.

It takes a lot of work to get this set ready to shoot.

City workers are setting up road blocks, while people watch and wait to see a hometown celebrity rap his newest single.

"We like to feel like we never really left Port Arthur, but when it's time for us to come back we like all te pomp and circumstance," says Bernard Freeman.

Bernard Freeman, better known as Bun B, along with other artists who call Port Arthur home have used the city in their videos before.

"First opportunity was with Pimp C on a major scale here in Port Arthur 2 years ago," says Nahala Johnson, the Director for the music video and Port Arthur native.

Bun B brought in several others that caused the crowd to take pictures and ask for autographs, like young buck.

And although he says he's the best to come out of PA, he wasn't the only big name from South County.

The Babineaux brothers, who currently play for the NFL, came to listen and support.

"Port Arthur, we're all one big family, behind each other no matter what we do. Wherever we are," says Atlanta Falcons Defensive Tackle Jonathan Babineaux.

Bun B says although this video is different with out his partner Pimp C, he's felt his presence.

"We couldn't do this without Pimp's spirit helping us and guiding us a bit. I like to think," says Bun B.

"Illusion is negative things going on in the video, but at the end we give back to the community," says Mr. Boomtown.

And while Bun B says gangster has a whole new meaning, he also wants to shed a better light on Port Arthur with this music video.

"It's just a way to give back to the community," says Bun B.

The group concluded its visit to Port Arthur today by giving away toys to children living in the Carver Terrace and Prince Hall apartments.
